Non-Personal Development Telemetry Commitment
Cordon Studio is built on the core principle of sovereign local developer computing. Your Docker containers, code files, terminal keystrokes, shell history, project directories, and OpenVPN traffic execute 100% locally on your machine. Stuniq Technologies does NOT log, monitor, or transmit any personal data, source code, or container activity. Any telemetry collected is strictly non-personal and aggregated for product engineering, bug fixing, and platform compatibility.
1. Information We Collect
When you use our website (cordon.stuniq.in), purchase a license, or run the Cordon Studio desktop application, we collect only the minimum information necessary to operate, license, and improve the software:
- Account & Billing Information: Your name and email address provided during checkout to dispatch your license key and invoice via Razorpay.
- Payment Processing Details: Transactions are handled directly by our certified payment gateway partner, Razorpay. Stuniq Technologies never sees, accesses, or stores your credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank passwords.
- License Activation Telemetry: To enforce the 2-device activation limit, the Electron app transmits an irreversible cryptographic SHA-256 hash of your machine ID, operating system type (macOS, Windows, Linux), and app version when checking key validity.
- Non-Personal Usage & Diagnostics Telemetry: To continuously optimize performance, detect crash anomalies, and improve compatibility across varied Docker engine setups, Cordon Studio collects anonymous, non-personal metrics (detailed in Section 2).
2. Non-Personal Usage & Diagnostic Metrics
To ensure stability across evolving versions of Docker, WSL2, macOS virtualization frameworks, and Linux distributions, the desktop application reports anonymous operational metrics strictly for development and improvement purposes:
- Host Environment Specs: Operating system name and major version (e.g., macOS 14.5, Windows 11, Ubuntu 24.04), CPU architecture (e.g.,
arm64,x64), and Docker Engine daemon version (e.g.,v27.3.1). - Feature & Mode Aggregates: Anonymized counts of operating modes initialized (General Use vs. Developer vs. Security Mode), desktop provisioning completion duration, and whether features such as XRDP, OpenVSCode, or Xpra GUI forwarding were toggled.
- Crash & Error Diagnostics: Stack traces and error classifications when container initialization or Docker socket connection fails, with all local user directory paths automatically sanitized and stripped.
- Zero source code, repository names, or project file contents.
- Zero terminal commands, shell history, stdin/stdout buffers, or keystrokes.
- Zero VPN credentials, OpenVPN configurations, target IPs, or network traffic packets.
- Zero host files, directory structures, or personal documents.
- Zero IP address tracking (IP addresses hitting the telemetry endpoint are not stored or associated with telemetry records).
3. Purpose of Processing
We process data exclusively for:
- Generating and authenticating your software license keys and device limits.
- Diagnosing software bugs, crash anomalies, and Docker engine socket incompatibilities.
- Improving feature performance (such as reducing dynamic XFCE4 desktop provisioning latency).
- Fulfilling customer support inquiries and statutory Indian commercial accounting obligations.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with trusted third-party service providers strictly for billing and hosting:
- Razorpay Software Private Limited: Handles payment collection under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.
- Dokply / Cloud Infrastructure: Secure hosting for the website, licensing API, and customer portal.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain billing transaction records for as long as required by financial regulations. Non-personal aggregated telemetry metrics are retained in anonymous summary form for product engineering analysis. You may request the deletion of your customer account or unbind your machine IDs at any time by logging into cordon.stuniq.in/portal or writing to support@stuniq.in.
6. Security of Information
All communication between the Cordon Studio desktop application, our web platform, and Razorpay is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). License tokens are digitally signed with strong cryptographic algorithms (HMAC-SHA256 / JWT).
